Student at museumIn English Language Arts, fourth graders just completed their Research Biography/Wax Mu-seum Unit.

Their focus was communicating information on a specific person and then presenting information to the Burr Community.

Students utilized the six traits of writing while composing a five paragraph research paper. In addition, students have been using text evidence to answer constructed response questions using the RACER method.

The objective is for the student to be able to restate, cite evidence, and expand their thinking on the topic. An instructional technology resource fourth graders are using is Read Works.

Students read passages on various subjects and answer multiple choice questions and provide short answer written responses.
